Meet San Francisco Area Author... Born and raised in Northern California, Kalen spent her childhood attending various living history events with her parents (everything from the Medieval Society for Creative Anachronism to the Regency Heyer Con). She ran away to the Blue Ridge for college, where she graduated with honors from Hollins College with a degree in Philosophy. She promptly moved back to the West Coast to attended graduate school, where she earned an MFA in creative writing and book arts from San Francisco State University. After becoming (in her father’s words) ‘over-educated and underemployable’, she found a job as an international trade consultant, where she gets to use all those analytical skills she learned studying Plato and Descartes to fight with lawyers. She started writing romance three years ago and has just signed a two book contract with Kensington. Her first book--LORD SIN--is due out in May 2007. Publisher Information: | ||
